Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 19 March 2026 Last Updated: 19 March 2026

EURO LEARNING LLC (“EuroFounders”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website eurofounders.org (the “Website”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”).

1. Data Controller

The data controller responsible for processing personal data is:

EURO LEARNING LLC Contact (GDPR inquiries): https://eurofounders.org/contact/

2. Personal Data We Collect

2.1 EU Funds Service Registration

When you register for the EU Funds monitoring service, we collect information about you and your organisation, including your name, email address, organisation details, country, business sector, product description, company stage, team size, revenue range, and R&D activity status.

2.2 Newsletter

If you opt in to the EuroFounders newsletter, we collect your email address and name.

2.3 Payment Data

When you purchase the EU Funds Deep Scan, payment is processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not collect or store your payment card details. We receive only a confirmation of payment and the metadata necessary to link the payment to your account.

2.4 Website Analytics

We use analytics tools to understand how visitors use the Website. These tools may collect anonymised or aggregated information such as pages visited, time on site, and device information. Where required by law, analytics data is collected only after consent via our cookie consent mechanism.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to:

  • Deliver a personalised EU funding programme overview based on your profile (free registration)
  • Perform AI-powered eligibility assessments against EU funding calls (paid Deep Scan)
  • Send weekly monitoring alerts when new matching calls are published (included with paid Deep Scan, active for 3 months)
  • Send service-related emails including results, confirmations, and unsubscribe confirmations
  • Send the EuroFounders newsletter (if you opted in)
  • Maintain anonymised assessment records for service improvement
  • Analyse Website usage to improve content and performance

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases under GDPR Article 6(1):

  • Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) — for free registration, teaser email delivery, and newsletter
  • Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) — for the paid Deep Scan, weekly monitoring, and payment processing
  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) — for website analytics and anonymised assessment records used for service improvement

You may withdraw consent at any time for processing based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

5. AI Processing

The EU Funds Deep Scan uses artificial intelligence to assess your company profile against EU funding calls. Your registration data (excluding your email address) is sent to an AI processing provider to generate a structured eligibility assessment for each relevant call.

This is not automated decision-making with legal effects. The AI assessment is an informational tool — it does not determine your eligibility, does not grant or deny access to funding, and does not produce legal consequences. You remain fully responsible for reviewing call documentation and deciding whether to apply.

Our AI processing provider operates under a data processing agreement and does not use your data to train its models.

6. Data Sharing

We share personal data with the following categories of third-party service providers, who act as data processors on our behalf:

  • Cloud database provider — stores registration and assessment data
  • Workflow automation provider — processes registrations and triggers email delivery
  • AI processing provider — performs eligibility assessments
  • Email delivery provider — sends all service-related emails
  • Payment processing provider — processes payments securely
  • Newsletter management tool — manages newsletter subscriber list
  • Website analytics provider — collects anonymised usage data

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

7. Data Retention

  • Registration data — retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion
  • Assessment records — anonymised upon unsubscribe (name, email, and account identifier removed); anonymised records retained for aggregate analytics
  • Payment records — retained as required by applicable tax and accounting law
  • Newsletter data — retained until you unsubscribe from the newsletter
  • Analytics data — retained according to our analytics provider’s default retention settings

When you unsubscribe from the EU Funds service, your personal data is deleted immediately. Assessment records are anonymised — non-personal data (sector, country, call identifier, result) is retained for aggregate analytics only.

8. International Data Transfers

EURO LEARNING LLC is based in the United States. Some of our service providers also process data outside the European Economic Area. When personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, or other mechanisms as required under GDPR Chapter V.
